Hydraulic ingot mould stripper mechanism - with intermediate piece for self-aligning clearance

Hydraulic stripper mechanism has a ball-and-socket joint between the stripper plunger and the piston rod. An intermediate piece links the hydraulic cylinder to the plunger in such a way that in the OFF position a slight clearance is maintained between the piston rod end and the joint. This allows a self-alignment of the plunger and prevents the frequent premature failures of the hydraulic cylinder seals. A trunk, attached to the hydraulic cylinder, carries the lifting jaws for the ingot mould with the ingot. The stripper plunger is fitted on top with a ball-and-socket joint.
