The tennis racket handle comprises a core and an outer sleeve. The core forms a unit with the racket shaft but has a smaller cross-section. The sleeve is formed from a plastics mass which is applied to the core and then shaped by the player himself when he grips and holds the handle. Once the plastics mass has hardened the shaped grip can then be wrapped with a resilient absorbent non-slip grip band (8) which fits round the shaped impressions and adheres to the grip surface. The handle grip produced thus accurately fits the player's hand.
