Electrostatic copier providing visual control - makes exposure onto moving copy paper from roll after guillotining to required length

An electrostatic copier uses roll copy paper fed forward to the exposure station as required. The exposure method is either by a scanning optical system or a moving carriage carrying the document etc to be copied. The emphasis is on simplicity and use of mechanical units. At the exposure station the copy paper is exposed in synchronisation with the optical system. A guillotine unit trims the copy paper to the required length before it is exposed.
