The folding door or wall has a number of lamellae carried by a support structure. The upper or lower end of each support plate (2) has a vertical guide (12) at a specified distance from the pivot axis (9) of the support (10). The vertical guide operates on extending or on folding up of the door or wall, for controlling the swivelling movement of the plate along a guide (15). At the end of the door or wall is arranged end lamella (18) which is permanently aligned in the direction of the support profile (17).
