<p>The mechanism actuates a damper in the flue of an oil-fired heater. The damper (14) is mechanically coupled to a hydraulic ram (18), connected by a pipe (34) to the high-pressure side of the heating oil feed pump (36). The damper can be spring-loaded into the shut position,the spring (32) being mounted in the ram cylinder (22). Its spindle (16) can have a lever (28) outside the flue (12), to which the ram piston rod or cylinder is attached, the ram in turn pivoting on a component (24) of the heater.</p> |
