The articulated passenger vehicle has amain front section (1) with a single axled rear section (2) pivotted at the end, and with both sections having the same low floor. The pivot is under the floor and the rear axle of the front unit and the axle of the rear unit are driven by hydraulic motors linked to a pump (10) on the rear unit. The engine (6) is fitted at the rear of the rear unit to enable a low floor design to be provided throughout the length of the vehicle. The engine is easily accessible. The vehicle can also be driven through an over head conductor wire and an electric motor driving a hydraulic pump.
