Combined position detector and clamp - controls movement of component and measures fluid flow with hot wire gauge

The detection system is used esp. for position detection in systems for manipulation of parts. The parts are guided in a region with flow openings for a fluid and the parts vary the flow resistance. The fluid can be also used as air cushion transport system at higher pressures. The flow velocity is measured in the flow opening or in a downstream channel. The pressure of this fluid can be controlled and heat losses of a heating wire in the flow stream is used as detection parameter. A flow velocity gauge(16) can be arranged into the fluid flow path. The system can generate vacuum for clamping of parts.
