The machine is for grinding the edges of cups and beakers. It uses grinding discs which are carried by spindles and connected with the machine frame via spring elements. The discs can pivot in an arc about the cup edge. - The grinding discs (6, 7) are mounted in pairs to engage externally and internally on the edge (5) of the workpiece (4). The grinding spindles (8, 9) also form the spring elements and run tangentially to the edge of the workpiece (4). The spindles are also supported in pivot arms driven by a crank drive.
