WASHING ACID GAS FROM GAS MIXTURE WITH AQUEOUS SOLUTION OF POLYAMINE OF AT LEAST FOUR AMINO GROUPS

Acid gases, particularly carbon dioxide, are removed from gas mixtures by washing with an aqueous solution of a polyamine having at least four amino-groups or of a polyamine mixture including at least one such polyamine. Examples of such polyamines are NN'-bis-(3-aminopropyl)- ethylenediamine, tripropylenetetramine and tetrapropylenepentamine.
