PURPOSE:To prevent faults owing to deposition of dust on head and make possible long-term use by providing a spacing between the end parts of recording medium of a supporting conveying member and providing a head cleaning member provided in the latent image forming position in this spacing. CONSTITUTION:A device detaching an electrode device 4 from a drum 2 is provided between the drum 2 and the multistylus electrode device 4 where the multistylus electrode device 4 opposes to the position where the recording medium 1 does not exist. This detaching device is provided with a pair of cams 19a, 19 protruded in the radial direction at both end positions of the drum 2 and a pair of driven rollers 20a, 20b driven by these cams. A flocked brush 21 is affixed to the outside peripheral surface of the gate cover 12 of this detaching device. Then, when the recording medium 1 passes the electrode device 4, the cams 19a, 19b raise the driven rollers 20a, 20b and detach the device from the outside circumferential surface of the drum 2, thereby enabling unnecessary abrasion and failure of the multistylus electrodes to be prevented. |
