<p>PURPOSE:To prevent a tank proper from any horizontal movement at the time of earthquake by binding an end of the skid preventive anchor in an appropriate number to the periphery of the bottom plate of tank proper and penetrating the other end of this anchor through the side plate of tank shell. CONSTITUTION:As the bottom plate 13 of tank proper is penetrating the side plate 10 of tank shell and bound to the anchor wall 17 with the aid of skid preventive anchors 16 in an appropriate number, any horizontal force applied to the tank proper, at the time of earthquake for ex., is transmitted to the slab 8 through the anchor 16 and the wall 17. Therefore the tank proper will not move horizontally. In case any skid force 1F is applied to the tank proper at the time of earthquake, a tensile force is applied to the anchor 16 in the A part as it is fixed from its signel side by means of a bolt etc. On the other hand, no compressive force is applied to the opposite side, the B part, because the wall 17 and the fixing bolt become loose. Thus only tensile force is applied to the anchor 16, which gives a secure prevention against yielding as well as a favourable utilization of the anchor's section.</p> |
