Method for pre-stressing of pre-stressable concrete products, according to which a network 3 of pre-stressing wires 2 is drawn in a zigzag shape between two longitudinal edges 6, 7 in a cast base, and bracing elements 10 situated at one edge 7 are displaced away from the other edge 6 in order to stretch the wires. In order to stretch the wires uniformly irrespective of variations in the initial tension of the wires, the wires are drawn by the displaceable edge in succeeding groups A, which are moveable relative to the other groups, and the groups are displaced away from the opposite edge 6 by means of a stretching device 14 common to all wire groups. An arrangement intended for application of the method has a stretching bar 11, which is divided into separate longitudinally succeeding secondary bars 11', which are moveable relative to one another in a transverse direction, and a stretching device 14, which is common to all secondary bars and exerts an equal stretching force thereon. <IMAGE>
