An apparatus for controlling an AC motor, with a feed back arrangement where the feed-back signal is the output signal of an electromechanical pulse generator coupled to the shaft of the motor. The apparatus comprises a microprocessor, to which is fed the feed-back signal, a reference signal and the output signals of a digital clock, and which generates output signals for controlling the frequency and phase of the AC power supplied to the motor by comparing the reference signal with the arrival times of the feed-back pulses as indicated by the digital clock. |
