PURPOSE:To prevent the ground around an underground tank from freezing, by flowing a heat carrying medium in vertical pipes buried in the ground around the tank. CONSTITUTION:A heater 4 is buried below the bottom plate 3 of an underground low-temperature tank 1 to prevent the ground underneath from freezing. Radiating pipes 7 are also buried in vertical holes 6 around the tank wall 2 and a heat carrying medium heated in a tank 10a of a medium feeding system 8 is pressure-fed by means of a pump 10b in the radiating pipes 7 to heat the ground around the vertical holes 6. This system can prevent the ground around the tank from freezing. |
