PURPOSE:To correct the variation in the height of a vehicle under a static load to keep a set height, by providing between the body and wheel of the vehicle a position detector which is expanded or contracted in response to the variation in the load or the vertical vibration of the moving vehicle. CONSTITUTION:When a load heavier than the static load which closes ports 29, 30 by the displacement of detection springs 26a, 26b is applied to the vehicle, a rod 2 and an outer shell 17 are compressed. If the tension of the spring 26a is previously set higher than that of the spring 26b, a detection valve 33 slides upward to open the port 29 to connect an air chamber 24 to a port 31. A change-over valve 38 is then shifted by a handle 44 to conduct high-pressure air from an accumulator 43 into the air chamber 24 to raise its pressure. The rod 2 and the outer shell 17 are thus expanded back to a reference position to correct the height of the vehicle. |
