<p>PURPOSE:To make rising of tape speed at the play faster and achieve the reduction of the time until wow stabilizes by fast feeding the tape until the tape speed reaches a specified value and applying fixed tension when it reaches the specified value. CONSTITUTION:A tape speed detector consisting of a photoelectric element and a glass disc having non-transparent film is provided to a reversing roller 11. A reel revolution number detector of the similar constitution is provided to each reel. Here, the motors of both reels are let to make fast feed until a microprocessor 24 detects that the tape speed has reached a specified value at the tape starting and when the specified value is reached, fixed torque is generated in both reel motors 32, 32a to give tension to the tape. Further, the tape is run at a constant speed by applying the specified voltage for making the tape tension constant based on the output signals of the revolution number detectors of the reels. In this way, the rising of the tape speed may be made faster and the wow stabilization time reduced.</p> |
