Heat-resistant industrial floor block based on concrete and cement-bound, formed from a concrete mixture with comminuted blast-furnace slag as additive. From 40 to 60 % by weight of the additive is composed of a coarse component consisting of chippings of high-strength granulated slag blocks, in the grain-size range of between 14 and 16 mm, and from 60 to 40 % by weight of said additive is composed of a fine component which consists of slag granules and/or crushed granulated blast-furnace slag, in the grain-size range of between 0 and 4 mm. If a concrete mixture of this type is used for producing the concrete blocks, the latter have a surprisingly high impact strength and wear resistance as well as heat resistance and can be used as industrial floor blocks even in areas subjected to heat. A blast-furnace cement is preferably used as the cement.
