The method aims to air-condition buildings standing in extreme climatic regions without relatively complicated, expensive installations and without special energy means. This is achieved by transmitting heat energy collected by insolation against a building wall (1) to a heat accumulator (11) in the wall, transmitting the heat energy of the same by radiation and convection to circulating-air chambers (10) and supplying it in a regulated manner to the inner room (13) which communicates with the latter. The building serving to carry out the method has in one wall (1) inner and outer circulating-air chambers (9, 10), between which a heat accumulating mass (11) lies. The outer circulating-air chamber (9) communicates with the outside air (12), the inner circulating-air chamber (10) with the building inner room (13), and both circulating-air chambers (9, 10) are, for regulating the air flow, provided with throttle members (6', 6'', 7', 7''), the circulating-air chambers being delimited on the one hand by radiation elements (5) and on the other hand by heat distributor plates (2, 3) facing the heat accumulating mass (11). <IMAGE>
