摘要 PURPOSE:To prevent the damage of drivability of a vehicle by a method wherein under a state in which an engine demand output value is below a given value, a target rotation speed is decided so that it is a given rotation speed value higher than a fuel cut minimum rotation speed value. CONSTITUTION:Under a state in which a throttle valve opening theta (engine demand output value) is below a given value theta1 or theta2, a target rotation speed No is decided so that it is a given value higher than a fuel cut minimum speed value. From this relation, the target rotation speed is decided based on the throttle valve opening theta1. Even when during running, e.g. during coasting running at a speed higher than a given car speed, in which fuel cut is executed, a throttle valve is slightly opened or closed, an engine rotation speed is a valve exceeding a fuel cut minimum rotation speed value. Thereby, a fuel cut device is prevented from an intermittent action occasioned by opening and closing from the idle state of a throttle valve, and drivability of a vehicle is prevented from damage.
