发明名称 WIDTH SLIDING CRYSTAL OSCILLATOR
摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a miniature width sliding crystal oscillator featuring the excellet temperature property and the comparatively low resonance frequency by selecting the length, thickness and width of the rectangular crystal bar toward the axis of coordinates system X, Y' and Z' which are obtained through about 50-degree right turn centering on the X axis of the crystal. CONSTITUTION:Rectangular crystal bar 1, which is shown by the axis of coordinates system X, Y' and Z' obtained through right turn by theta centering the X axis is selected for its length, width l and width w and thickness t toward the X, Z' and Y' axes each. The value of theta is set to about 50 deg., and the side surface of bar 1 in the width direction features the X axis tilted right forward by alpha (about 5 deg.). Under these conditions, the electric field is applied toward the width or the thickness direction to obtain a width sliding crystal oacillator. The resonance frequency is determined by the width and the elasticity constant, and the temperature characteristics equivalent to that of the AT cut crystal is secured by setting alpha to about 5 deg.. Thus, a miniature size is realized with the comparatively low resonance frequency, at the same time reducing the power consumption. Alson, the equivalent resistance can be minimized by providing the electrode to the XZ' surface owing to the electric field applied in the thickness direction.
