<p>The catalytic heater for a self cleaning oven is cylindrical in shape, of reduced height. It has a heating coil (3) made from a flexible tube of between 3 and 5mm, preferably between 4 and 4.5mm dia. made of metal with a heating wire inside, embedded in an insulating material. The coil has at least two turns which enclose the catalytic member (4) and which are enclosed by an insulating ring (2) of ceramic fibre material, inside the housing (1). The catalytic member has a pattern of holes (5) through it to allow gases and fumes to pass through. The housing (1) is made in two parts with flanges secured to each other.</p> |
