<p>Dental core compsns. with disinfectant action in liq. paste-like or solid form contain 0.5-10 (pref. 1-3) wt. % of Ag and/or Zn sulphadiazine (I). The compsns. can be formulated as toothpastes, tooth-powders or mouthwashes. They pref. contain (I) in the form of particles with a size of 5 (esp. 0.5-3) mu, opt. together with other ingredients, e.g. fluorides, abrasives, humectants, thickeners, foaming agents, flavours, sweeteners and preservatives. Components (I) is active against the bacteria causing parodontosis and the acid-producing plaque bacteria causing carries. In an example a foaming toothpaste contains 27.45 wt. % H2O, 20% glycerol, 0.15% saccharin, 1.2% CMC, 46% dicalcium phosphate dihydrate, 2% Ag sulphadiazine, 2.2% 'Texapon K12' and 1% flavour.</p> |
