The tractor has hydraulically driven rear wheels, whose spacing can be altered, each wheel has its own hydraulic motor and is supported on a half chassis (3, 4). the variation is effected by a torsion bar (15) turning in bearings (16) on telescopic cross pieces. There are end cranks (17, 18) acting on thrust arms (21, 22) pivoted to one half chassis (4). A rod (23) of a double acting ram (24) acts on a central crank (19) on the torsion bar to rotate it in either direction. The two half chassis are square section, hollow, and form oil reservoirs.
