The conveyor feeds metal rods at regular intervals to a downsteam collector for subsequent production of reinforced concrete. Rods are fed singly through rollers into a rotary sweeper (3) consisting of curved channels (31) mounted on a broad central hub (32). This delivers rods singly past a deflector (47) onto a motor-driven (52) roller bed (51) which leads the flap (62) counterbalanced by a pivoted weight (63). Overbalancing occurs when a fixed number of rods are deposited on the flap (62), and a bundle of rods slide down a chute (61) into channels (74) continually revolving around chain-driven pinions (72, 73). The rod bundles are tipped into a V-shaped trough (9) and slide down in bundles of fixed number.
|
