The cooker extractor hood comprises a housing (1) which along its lower edge (2) is drawn inwards to form two steps, the protruding edge (4) of the filter box (3) engaging over the inner step (5). The distance between the raised edge (4) of the filter box (3) and the upright outer face (1a) of the housing (1) is measured so that the screen (7) can be suspended in the filter box (3) flush with the outer face (1a) via a U-shaped metal strip (18). The filter mat (6) is clamped air-tight around its outer perimeter along the front and its two longitudinal sides. The rear side (8) is pressed against the base of the box. The clamping rod (9) is welded to a U-shaped clamping hoop near the ends (11) at right angles and mounted as axes of rotation. The closed side (13) of the hoop (10) engages in slots (14) brackets (15) attached to the housing, with the slots (14) having openings (16) through which the clamping hoop can be hung up and removed. The filter box is held in the closed state by screws (21) at the front which engage in the housing (1) and by hinges (22) at the back.
