The transformer has an E-shaped magnetic laminated core and a yoke connecting the free shank ends. The E laminations (2) consist of ferromagnetic material with a higher specific iron loss than the material of the yoke laminations and/or the stray field laminations (S) between the primary (W1) and secondary (W2). The primary coil is preferably arranged on the yoke side, the yoke laminations (1) being typically I-shaped. These yoke laminations, which may be alternately E-shaped, and/or the stray field lamination cores have different specific iron losses. The stray field core, through which continuously flows the magnetic flux may have lower weight and be of lower specific iron loss.
|
