PURPOSE:To prevent a loss of heat energy of hot iron and simplify the operation by receiving hot iron discharged from a blast furnace in a hot iron ladle and charging the hot iron into a converter without shifting it. CONSTITUTION:Hot iron 3 discharged from a blast furnace is received in hot iron ladle 1 of the same capacity as the vol. of hot iron required for one charge of converter 2. The vol. of iron 3 received is regulated to 80-90% of the capacity of ladle 1. Next, ladle 1 is carried in a converter plant and set on weighing stand 4 to measure the vol. of iron 3, and hot iron 3' is supplied. Hot iron 3,3' reaching a predetermined vol. in ladle 1 is charged into converter 2. |
