SUPPRESSION OF THROMBOCYTE AGGREGATION

2-(4,5-bis-p-chlorophenyloxazol-2-yl-mercapto)-propionic acid and its physiologically acceptable salts in the form of an admixture with acetylsalicylic acid or a physiologically acceptable salt thereof is useful for suppressing aggregation of thrombocytes, particularly when administered in a mole ratio of the acetylsalicylic acid to the priopionic acid derivative of 60:1 to 0.1:1. This is useful especially in humans, e.g. for prophylaxis and therapy in cases involving risk of arterial or venous thrombosis.
