发明名称 PRODUCTION OF THICK FILM OPTICAL PLANE BRANCHING CIRCUIT ELEMENT
摘要 PURPOSE:To enable a branching circuit and optical transmission fibers to be coupled relatively readily and reduce the loss of light by providing the thick film optical plane branching circuit with photosensitive resins through the use of a printed circuit forming method by a photographic method. CONSTITUTION:Photosensitive resins such as transparent polyester base resins which have virtually no absorption loss to the transmission light used and are capable of freely controlling the thicknesses of about 100mu to several 100mu are coated on a substrate 1 such as of quartz glass which is smaller in refractive index of light than the same and has been smoothed of its surface. Next, a thick film optical plane branching circuit 2 of a desired shape by the photosensitive resins and pattern parts 5 for holding optical transmission fibers 3 in a satisfactory manner are formed on the substrate 1 by a printed circuit forming method by a photographic method. The end faces of the fibers 3 are butted and contacted to each section of the circuit 2 and are bonded and bound by means of a silicone base resin adhesive agent 4. Further the coupling is intensified by an epoxy base resin coupling binder 6.
