<p>An electrical connector having one or more terminals carrying a tubular filter device, includes a composite ground plate formed of a rigid metal plate and a superposed metal foil sheet. Each filter device passes through a respective aperture in the rigid metal plate and an aligned aperture in the foil sheet. Each aperture in the foil sheet is defined by several circumferentially spaced inwardly directed tines which, on insertion of a tubular filter device, become progressively sandwiched between this device and the wall of the associated aperture in the rigid plate. This ensures good ground connection to the tubular filter device.</p> |
