PURPOSE:To improve the coupling strength of a toothed cable and shoe by inserting the cable into the shoe and flowing synthetic resin into the shoe. CONSTITUTION:Guide rails 1 are used to guide the closing and opening operations of a slidable roof 2 and disposed to backwardly extend along the side of the roof opening 3. A flexible toothed cable 6 cooperatively coupled with a drive source incorporates a coil 10 spirally wound on a core 9 and the core 9, and is integrally coupled at the end thereof with a shoe 4 when inserting the end into the shoe 4. When inserting the cable 6 into the shoe 4, synthetic resin is flown into around the core 9 and among the spiral wire 10 to fill the gap between the cable 6 and the shoe 4 without any play to completely adhere therebetween so as to remarkably improve the coupling strength of the cable and the shoe. |
