<p>PURPOSE:To enable to support the cathode with high insulation, by inserting the leads into the hole made at the folded part inside for the metallic cylinder via the insulator, in the cathode support of indirect heating type such as vacuum tubes. CONSTITUTION:One end of the metallic cylinder 1 fixed to the first grid (not shown) with welding is bent inside so that the cross section cause opposite U-shape, and the hole 2 for gas discharge is formed at the center. Further, at the folded part, the hole 10 having greater hole diameter than the wire diameter of the leads is made, and a plurality of leads 4 are drawn out through the insulator 3 such as glass so that they are not contacted with the hole 10, and the cathode 6 of cylindrical shape in which the heater 8 is inserted with the metal fixture 7 at parted location from the top of the cylinder 1 is supported. Thus, the sputtering material from the cathode 6 is less in attaching to the insulator 3 and the cylinder 1 acts sufficiently as the sputtering shield.</p> |
