<p>The distance piece is for vertical drip plates in an atmospheric cooler mounted face to face. It comprises a ridge piece fitting over the edge of a plate (6) by a central notch between its arms (3a, 3b). Each of these has a boss (4a, 4b) extending outwards and a flexible blade (5a, 5b) bent towards the notch, the blades being symmetrical in relation to the centre line, while the clearance between their free ends is less than the thickness of the plate. The blades grip the plate when the piece is fitted onto it, while the bosses hold the adjacent plates (7, 8) at the correct distance.</p> |
