<p>The brake drum has a support plate (10) fixed to the vehicle wheel. The hydraulic cylinder (16) operates the shoes which are joined by the coil spring (42). The opposite ends of the shoes are anchored to the central points (26). The brake is automatically adjusted by a mechanism consisting of a pivoted part (44). The adjustment mechanism also has a stop (48), a toothed segment (50) being provided at the free end of the lever (44). The brake may also be operated by a hand lever acting through the cable (88).</p> |
