Hollow profiles connector with micro-encapsulated adhesive - has paired wedges at connection with contacting inclined faces

The connector for hollow profiles uses adhesive bonding and wedging. Permanent connection of e.g., aluminium hollow profiles is ensured by relatively simple operations. The wedging pieces (2, 4) are coated with a microencapsulated adhesive substance and the inclined faces of the two wedging pieces face each other. The parallel faces (2a, 4a) are in contact with the walls of hollow profiles at the connection and paired wedging pieces bridge the gap. The thin ends of the wedges are bent over for hooking onto the thick ends of the opposite wedges. The thick ends have a sloping part in contact with a raised part within the hollow profile, so that when the profiles are pushed together, the wedges ride up on one another to join the assembly solidly in position.
