Turning device for rotary plough - having frame pressed into working position by gas pressure spring which is charged on extension of operating cylinder

The turning device on rotary ploughs has an operating cylinder whose top end engages on a framell column and whose bottom end engages on a turning arm. The latter is supported freely on the shaft of the plough frame and can be turned through 180 deg. between stops. It is permanently loaded in the stop position by a spring. The plough frame (8) is forced into its working position by means of a gas pressure spring(38) which is advanced to the operating cylinder(23) above by dead centre line (x-x), is centre-running and is charged up a extension of the operating cylinder.
