<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the solidification of water-granulated slag effectively and simply by hastening the reaction rate water-granulated slag with carbon dioxide gas by the procedure in which water-granulated slag is regulated its moisture content to a definite content in a rough crushing process and then brought into contact with carbon dioxide. CONSTITUTION:After roughly crushing water-granulated slag (blast furnace quickly cooled slag), its moisture content is regulated to 7 to 15 %, preferably 10 to 15 %, and then the slag is brought into contact with carbon dioxide gas. Thus, the reaction time of the roughtly crushed water-granulated slag with carbon dioxide gas can be shortened from approx. 23 min to approx. 5 to 10 min. Also, the contact between the water-granulated slag and the carbon dioxide can be performed for reaction by introducing a fuel waste gas into the bottom of the water-granulated slag exhaust hopper, for example. This method enables one to prevent the solidification of water-granulated slag effectively and simply at lower running cost.</p> |
