The telephone set has count pulses generated by a pulse generator with zoning in the connection path. When special service devices are selected that have a count clock rate differing from that of the telephone connection, count information is generated in a count transformer associated with one of the special service devices and passes via the connection path of an additional device belonging to the zoning pulse generator on its input side. Count pulses are then applied at a given rate to the connection path leading back from the zoning pulse generator.
