<p>Polyamide-l, opt. fibre-reinforced, is used in mfr. of ammunition bins, esp. those for military vehicles. The prod. protects the ammunition against impact of (shell) splinters whose thermal energy is sufficient to cause the ammunition to explode. The ammunition bin, need not be made entirely of polyamide-6 (or some other suitable thermoplastics); they may comprise some other (unspecified) material, covered or lined with (fibre reinforced) polyamide-6 laminate or a single-ply coating. Suitable for use in armoured vehicles.</p> |
