The cable coupling has a contact block mounted in a cable box, for contacts which may be resilient lengthways. With spring elements interposed and braced against the outside walling of the cable box, the block is mounted in the latter. Block movement rearward in the coupling direction is limited, and it contains centering devices such as centering pin (20) and socket. Use can be made of leaf springs, attached to the rear end on the box, and/or connected to the front end to allow transverse movement only.
