Gravity sepn. e.g. of petrol, oil or fat, and water - in settling tank with coolant circulation

Sinks and/or floats, such as petrol, oil or fat, are sepd from hot waste water by gravity in a settling basin where it is retained for sufficiently long periods. Before its introduction in the settling basin and/or during its retention in it, the mixt to be sepd is cooled by heat dissipation to a coolant through 20 degrees C or to a final tem pref under 10 degrees C. The result is an improved sepn efficiency and an easier subsequent processing of both water and contaminants.
