A color-developing composition for pressure-sensitive recording sheet material which has good resistance to yellowing upon aging comprises in "parts by weight" (A) 100 parts of a p- substituted phenol-formaldehyde polymer and (B) an additive selected from (a) 1-10 parts of a certain benzotriazole compound, (b) 1-20 parts of a certain hindered phenolic compound (c) a combination of 1-10 parts of the benzotriazole compound and 1-10 parts of the hindered phenolic compound, (d) a combination of 1-10 parts of the benzotriazole compound and 0.5-10 parts of a certain dialkyl thioether derivative, (e) a combination of 1-10 parts of the hindered phenolic compound and 0.5-10 parts of the dialkyl thioether derivative, and (f) a combination of 1-10 parts of the benzotriazole compound, 1-10 parts of the hindered phenolic compound, and 0.5-10 parts of the dialkyl thioether derivative in which the total amount of these three components is not greater than 20 parts, the said polymer and the additive being homogeneously dissolved in mutual solution. |
