<p>PURPOSE:To prepare a fiber mesh useful for the reinforcement of resins, cement, etc., easily, by peeling warped fibers fixed with a thermoplastic film, cutting the fibers to a definite length, placing the cut fubers crosswise on the other warped fibers, and fusion-bonding their crossover points. CONSTITUTION:A thermoplastic resin film, e.g. vinyl polymer, etc., is cast onto a release paper, and warped fibers are bonded to the film surface before the resin solidifies. The warped fibers are peeled from the release paper and subsequently cut to a desired length. The cut fibers are placed crosswise on the other warped fibers, and the crossover points of the fibers are fusion-bonded by means of a hot roller, etc. to give the desired fiber mesh. EFFECT:Free from formation of fluffs, filament breaking, etc.</p> |
