Face conveyor and mine support connection - uses brackets on conveyor and floor member with height adjustment for connecting pin

The mine support system has a floor member supporting a roof member which overhangs a face coinveyor, the floor member having a sledge shaped slider (4) attached to it, connected to a bracket (5) bolted to the conveyor. The bracket has two arms (7) extending from it, forming a Vee shaped groove (10) between them, into which fits the nose (8) which projects upwards from the slider. The nose has an elongated slot (17) through it forming a clearance gap for a connecting pin (21) fitted through the two arms (7) of the bracket (5). This slot (17) is kidney-shaped and extends vertically upwards, having its rear face (19) shaped to form a set of three locating positions for the pin (21), at different heights.
