The screw driver consists of a housing in which a drive motor and drive are mounted. The drive consists of a non self jamming work drive. The worm (23) is the opposite hand to the drive direction of the motor so that a drive sleeve (9) which is driven via balls (27) from the worm is stationary when there is no torque on the driver. When the driver engages with a screw, the drive sleeve will rotate until a torque is reached which is set by a spring (20). At this point a sensor will be deflected which will switch the drive motor off.
