Two-component resin mixing ratio control - by metering pump delivery pressure sensors detecting pressure rise delays

The mixing ratio is controlled by a pressure sensor downstream of every metering pump. Any time shift in the attainment of a set presure relative to that in a master pump is determined and in case of discrepancies a warning signal is sounded or the plant is shut down. Any defective function of a metering pump or the absence of one component is easily spotted and remedial measures can be taken at once. The two resin components from the storage containers are passed by metering pumps through non-return valves to a mixing tank. Pressure sensors check any time delay between the pressure built up in the line of one component relative to the other component which is considered as the master.
