Diuretic pharmaceutically active steroid-spiro-oxazolidinone compounds of the formula (I), <IMAGE> (I) wherein R1 is hydrogen or methyl, R2 is C1-4 alkyl, R3 is hydrogen, C1-4 alkyl or C2-4 alkenyl, Z1 and Z2 each are hydrogen or together form a second valence bond, or Z1 is hydrogen and Z2 is R4-S-, Z3 and Z4 each are hydrogen or together form a second valence bond, or Z3 is hydrogen and Z4 is R4-S-, with at least one of the pairs Z1-Z2 and Z3-Z4 representing hydrogen and an R4-S- group, and R4 is hydrogen or alkyl, alkenyl, aralkyl or acyl with up to 7 carbon atoms, provided that when Z1 and Z2 together form a valence bond, or Z1 represents a hydrogen atom and Z2 and R4-S- group then R1 is methyl. |
