Hinged fold away holder for a bread slicer or similar appts moves the device onto the table or working surface or back into a collapsed storage position. The holder includes a base plate (1) to be attached to a wall (15) or next to a table to which an intermediate plate (2) is connected by a first hinge (6). There is also a support plate (3) linked to the intermediate plate by a second hinge (7) to which the operating device is firmly attached. There is a locking device (4) to fix and hold all three plates (1, 2, 3) stacked in a folded position on the wall (15). The support plate (3) acts as the base for the operating device on the table or the working top.
