PURPOSE:To obtain an effective tablet input device in a simple constitution by providing a position detector which discriminates whether a detected object is present or not, a plane corresponding plate where sensitive parts and insensitive parts are arranged alternately, a direction detector, and an up/down counter UDC. CONSTITUTION:In the tablet input device used for a CRT display unit, light emission diode 1 and light receiving diode 2 are fitted to internal support material 8 of position detector 100. Then, when detector 100 moves in the arrow direction on plane corresponding plate 200 having a stripe pattern of white of sensitive parts and black of insensitive parts, the output of diode 2 is inputted to clock terminal CL of UDC 12 through amplification waveform shaping part 13. Pressure sensors 5 and 6 are provided in detector 100 and become direction detectors at an A-A' direction movement time, and the output of them is inputted to comparator 11, and the output level comparison result is inputted to the UP terminal of UDC 12. UDC 12 has contents increased or reduced according to the movement quantity of detector 100, and the current position on corresponding plate 200 is outputted to output terminal ABCDE or UDC 12 and is sent to a CPU. |
