<p>A casting compsn. for embedding opto-electronic devices contains (1) is not 1 cycloaliphatic epoxy cpd. with is not 2 oxirane rings, (2) is not 1 carboxylic acid anhydride, (3) a Zn octoate, (4) a low-mol. polyol and/or low-mol. acid ester and (5) opt. an organo-P cpd. The compsn. may also contain optical brighteners, dyes and light-diffusing powders. The compsn. is transparent, does not become discoloured on heat-ageing for >2000 hours at is not 120 degrees C, and bonds firmly. It is liq. at room temp. and can easily be metered. It can be prepd. as a storage-stable pre-mix. The embedded article can be removed from the mould after 5 minutes at 150 degrees C. Luminescence diodes, photo-transitors, photo-diodes and luminescence diode displays can be coated or embedded. The compsn. can also be used as a light-conducting resin for opto-electronic couplers.</p> |
